Jeremy and Kim got married back in June, so let’s backtrack a bit to show off their engagements. We spent a gorgeous Sunday morning together at Mayfield Park and then around a little neighborhood in Austin. I love wandering around with couples, just finding spots that we love as we walk around. Jeremy and Kimberly have a blast together and I don’t think I ever had to tell them to snuggle for a picture because they already were.. at all times. Love it.
I’ve got tons of things to be thankful for but my most photographed thing that I’m thankful for is Harper. She’s an 18 month old ball of personality and I couldn’t imagine my days with out her running around them constantly. I love my life.
A wedding on the coast of Oregon! Libby and Laura live in Portland and got married in Manzanita, which is quite possibly the cutest little town ever. It was so wonderful to wake up every morning, put on a coat and scarf, and drink coffee on the beach. Every so often I shoot a wedding where I am SO thankful I have to put a camera in my face so no one can see me get all teary eyed. This was definitely the case with Libby and Laura. I had to seriously stop myself from boo-hooing through their entire ceremony. From the time the ladies started getting ready to the hilarious dance party that lasted through the night, I cant even put into words how sweet and loving this whole day was.
I met Sarah and Tony in middle school, back when Tony brought a sweet lunchbox to school and Sarah did the best impressions of Cartman. I remember secret and not so secret crushes that Sarah had on Tony and short “going out” periods. So, when I hadn’t seen either of them since graduation and I was suddenly contacted because they had gotten engaged, I was BEYOND thrilled. A middle school romance turned lifelong marriage! When we connected for their engagement shoot, it had been at least 7 years since I’d seen either one of them but we fell back in step like old friends and had a blast together.
Oh, I love the Bearden family. Cara is one of my best friends and I was beyond excited to photograph her with her husband Matt, and their cutie baby, Posey. We wanted the shoot to be relaxed so we started out at their house and took a few naked baby photos (the best) and a couple of family portraits. We then headed out to explore and ended up just parking the car on the side of a random street with nice lighting. That’s the thing with pictures- they can be taken anywhere! Matt and Cara had both said that they weren’t fans of extremely posed pictures so I feel like we got a nice mixture of relaxed poses and playing. I had such a fun time with Cara, Matt, and Posey and the whole session was a breeze. Can’t wait to watch this family grow!
