Hey look, it’s a new website!

These past few months, we’ve been hard at work with two super talented guys to bring this new website and branding to your eyes. We could not be more excited about where we ended up. A little over a year ago, we were launching our business and now we are refreshing everything to bring you a new and improved The Life You Love Photography. We want to always stay excited about who we are, what we are doing, and who our clients are so that’s why we are so happy to finally share our new look.

Ta….. daaaaaaaaaa! Look at how happy we are to be all fresh.

We owe so much to Keith Davis Young for sticking with us and bringing our ramblings to life. We are so glad that we got to work with Keith and put his talent up all over the place. And then we owe thanks to Jeff Cooper for bringing Keith’s vision and fleshing it out on to the interweb. You guys, we had a great team and we want to shout their names from the roof tops!

To celebrate this happy re-launch day, we want to give our dear readers a little treat! We’re in the mood to give away a free session and all you have to do is leave a comment with a little bit of love and your name will be in the drawing! The winner will get a free mini session to be redeemed in January or February of 2012, the subject of the pictures being up to you!

So please, help us celebrate and spread the word about our new website. We’ll draw two names for mini-sessions on Friday so make sure to check back then! In the mean time, feel free to look around the site that we are so proud of!

Updated: Thank you so much for all of the responses. We felt so overwhelmed all week by how positive and supportive our clients, friends, and families have been. Definitely feeling awesome over here, so we thank you for that.

With out further waiting, we’d like to announce the winners to our two mini sessions! Drumroll please…

Thanks to everyone for commenting and hopefully you’ll keep staying tuned on the blog for whatever is to come.

Hailey and Matt at Palmer Event Center in Austin, TX

Man, we’ve been busy. In between shooting weddings, family sessions, engagements, and re-branding/building a new site.. you could say that we are a little tired. I’ve told all of my friends and family to expect about 35% of the Leah that they usually know because my other 65% is going to all of our wonderful clients and sessions. That’s just how this time of year is.

Speaking of wonderful clients and sessions, let me introduce you to Hailey and Matt. I am more than pleased to be photographing their wedding next April and was excited to get to know the couple more during our engagement session. Hailey makes Matt smile and Matt nuzzles in to Hailey’s ear and makes her crack up. They were super easy going and we had a great time just taking it easy and getting pictures that represent their love. Hopefully they will look back on these photos in 20 years and be able to be instantly transported to our nice Austin afternoon in the sun.

Getting Personal: Leah

Every month, I take pictures of my daughter. I mean, I take pictures of her all the time, let’s get serious. But I purposefully do a tiny mini session on the 8th of every month to mark her age. Yesterday, she officially turned 2 and a half. Life gets weird when you become a parent (for so many reasons) but one of them is that you start counting ages in months. I’m wondering when this stops.

Anyways. We went out to take her monthly pictures and I’m surprised I got anything because all Harper wanted to do the entire time was sword fight with her Dad. Every two minutes she was running after Taylor yelling, “I want to fight you!!” This age has been really fun and it’s so interesting to see what a person she’s turning in to every day. Not to mention, I think she’s just about one of the cutest things ever.

Kathie’s Family Pictures in Austin, TX

This is the time of year when all of my recurring clients have new sessions taken for the holidays. I love keeping up with families and couples but man, it’s hard to keep up on the blog! I figured that since I was going to be doing Kathie’s family’s semi-annual pictures in the next few weeks, I should probably post their last session before it slips through the cracks because it’s just too good to not be seen!

Kathie, Stephen, Delaney, and Alby are one of my favorite families. Like I said, we get together twice a year and have a ball together. They are fully on board with what my ideal family session is- relaxing and having fun while I snap away. I love watching their interactions and seeing Delaney and Alby grow up.
