It takes a brave and special kind of couple to want to get married outdoors in the Texas summer heat. Sarah and Andrew are just those people: laid back, patient, kind, loving, and they both have a great sense of humor. They make so much sense together; you can see it just by looking at them. After getting to know them and having them share their wedding day with me, I know they’re going to make each other laugh and be happy together forever. Love!
It honestly wouldn’t have mattered where we took Caroline’s bridal portraits. She could have been standing in an alley or out in the middle of a field, she would have been timeless and beautiful at any location. And that is to say, Caroline makes my job easy.
We ultimately decided to take Caroline’s portraits at the Tyler Rose Garden because that is the very spot that David proposed to her. Well, the very spot is actually the bridge that is featured in a few pictures. Caroline knew that it would be wonderful to have that extra personal touch to her bridals and that it would make them that much more special. She was right.
I had so much fun at Caroline and David’s wedding this past weekend but before I can share their awesome day, I wanted to put just Caroline in the spotlight. Because yes, she deserves it!
I met Lee for the first time on the day of the wedding and I could tell instantly how in love with Lauren he was. He told me how nice she was and for some reason, a groom describing his bride to be as “nice” and really, really meaning it just made me so happy. The day they got married, it was overcast and looked like rain all morning and about thirty minutes before their beautiful ceremony at The Winfield Inn, it decided to be beautiful outside. Instead of being 100 degrees like every day before and after it, it turned in to a cool 80 degree afternoon. The ceremony could not have been more perfect with the light breeze running through it and tears all around. There was not a dry eye in the house and for good reason- Lauren and Lee looked gorgeous together.
The rest of the day was a party. Instead of having a traditional first dance, Lauren and Lee swapped it out with a sort of ode to the dance from “A Knight’s Tale”. It was so much fun to witness and it just set the tone for the entire evening.
My sister moved to London two years ago and I visited last year for the first time. I fell in love with the city and as soon as I returned home, I knew that I had to plan another trip and bring my husband along. We just got back from a most amazing vacation. We spent time with my sister, Elana, who I love more than anything and we got to explore the city at our leisure.
Everything is so beautiful. I could have literally walked around with my camera from the minute I woke up until I went to sleep and I still wouldn’t be satisfied or finished. Taylor and I also took a little detour for a day in Paris that blew my mind. I have a special weakness for symmetry and trees and Paris offered a lot of the two combined. I seriously fell in love with the city and we spent the whole day walking around the most beautiful areas. We also took a day trip to Oxford where we punted and explored the old buildings. Another gorgeous place.
I am so happy with all of the pictures that I took but at the same time, I know that I could have taken so many more. Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to go back next year
