Monday Sneak Peek

This past weekend, I made a quick solo trip to Tyler, TX for a portrait extravaganza! I photographed a newborn, anniversary, two families, an engagement, and an extended family. It was definitely a whirlwind but I can’t wait to share pictures from all of my wonderful sessions!

My very last shoot took place at a private hanger next to the Tyler airport. Lainie & Toby are avid travelers and really went all out for their engagement pictures. One of my all time favorite shoots, I couldn’t wait to share a few from our time together.

Getting Personal: Leah

This face means extreme elation:

A little scary, huh? But seriously, how else should I look when I book a trip to New York with two of my greatest friends?! Lindsey and I look at Travelzoo every Tuesday to drool over trips that we don’t have time for. We’ve been planning to take a trip together, our first grown up trip together!, for over a year.

So last week, when there was a great deal on trips to New York in the dead of winter, we jumped on it! Now we have three months to plan how we will survive the cold weather and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve only been to New York once, about 5 years ago, for a day and a half. Definitely not the way to see a huge city. Here is my very serious list of things to do:

1. Look cute in a winter jacket.
2. Take a ton of pictures.
3. Go to Dean and Deluca. Any Felicity fans out there?
4. Pretend I’m Felicity.
5. See a show.
6. Eat a bagel every day.
7. Be happy and love life and explore and don’t get frost bite.

Yeah, my list is very serious and very important. I seriously can not wait for our adventure!

Liz’s Maternity Pictures in Austin, TX

Liz e.mailed me on a Thursday to see if there was any chance that I had availability that coming weekend to take some maternity pictures. She’s from Waco but was staying in an Austin hospital for pregnancy complications and her husband could only visit her during the weekends. I was so glad that I had space available and couldn’t wait to meet Liz and Steven and hear their story. We walked around a neighborhood I chose and took pictures and got to know each other. Liz is a total rock star and they were both so positive and happy. Liz and Steven were waiting to find out the sex of their baby which.. more power to them! I couldn’t do it. Well, I just checked on facebook and it looks like Liz gave birth to a baby boy, Nathaniel, about a week ago.

Huge congrats to the new parents! So glad we got to meet before Nathaniel was born so that I could document their anticipation of his arrival.

Wedding Sneak Peek | Mandy & Patrick | New Braunfels, Tx

On Wednesday Mandy and Patrick found out Patrick’s job was transferring him to Australia and that he would be leaving in just over a week. That’s when they decided to scrap all previous wedding plans and have an impromptu wedding Saturday afternoon. They had 2 days to plan their wedding, find new everything, and inform all of their guests of their new plans. I showed up Saturday afternoon to excited friends and family and a completely stress free bride. Everything was flawless. I can’t wait to share the rest of their wedding with you.
