Lindsey and I traveled to New York two weeks ago for a quick getaway trip with our good friend, Julie. We spent three days walking around, freezing our behinds off, and exploring the city while taking pictures. We compiled some photos that captured our trip to share! We love how snowy and moody the city looks in January, even if our cold toes did not. Stay tuned tomorrow when we show off our portraits!
We spent a long weekend in NYC and while we were there we did a session with our lovely Eva & Philip, whose wedding we photographed last summer. Words can’t really describe how much we love these two, but trust us when we say its a TON. We have so many New York photos to share this week so stay tuned – We can’t wait to share the rest!
I spent New Years Eve afternoon with Melissa, Ryan, and their cutie dogs Belle and Riley. The four of them together make such a sweet and loyal family. I couldn’t have asked for a better session to end my year with!
I went to highschool in Tyler, TX and moved to Austin as soon as I graduated. Although most of my friendships became distant over the years, growing up and all, I’ve always reconnected with old friends during holidays and loved getting caught up. So it pleases me, more than anything, when an one of them falls in love and calls on me to be their wedding photographer even though we are towns and years apart.
Enter, Natalie. Natalie and I became friends in middle school. We used to make up dance routines at our slumber parties and wrap people’s houses in toilet paper together. When I saw Natalie at her engagement session, I felt like I was her proud mama. I was meeting Brent for the first time and so I was seeing Natalie in a completely different light. She was giddy and in love and it made me beyond happy to be able to witness and be a part of this new chapter in her story.
Anyway, Brent and Natalie are super cute. Wait until you see Natalie’s bridals.. drop dead gorgeous. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in March.
Sarah and Tony wanted to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary by getting together and taking some pictures in their lovely home. Of course, I was ecstatic. I’ve known the couple since 5th grade (back when I used to wear plaid overalls) and have been so happy to be able to capture their story over the past few years.
Their home was so lovely and warm and.. hello.. right from a magazine. It was at our session that I finally understood the appeal of throw pillows and I have Sarah to thank for that.
