My absolute favorite part of Peni & Luke’s wedding: After their ceremony, they planted a tree on their land and each guest followed up with a small shovel of dirt to fill in the hole in the ground. Peni & Luke will get to watch that tree grow for the rest of their lives and know that the people they love most helped put it there. I think that’s incredibly special.
The day I met Eva and Philip, I fell in love. With them individually and even more so with them as a couple. They are warm and hilarious and sweet and loving and just, my kind of people. At the end of our time together, after countless e.mails and an awesome engagement session and their beautiful Houston wedding, I was sad to see them go back to New York because I wanted them to move to my city and be my new best friends. They are that wonderful.
Two minutes before I met Tracy and Molly for the first time, I made eye contact with Connie Britton aka Tami Taylor ala Friday Night Lights. I was walking through the beautiful grounds of the Hotel Saint Cecilia, making my way toward my lovely couple, when I was completely star struck by one of my favorite television characters of all time. Less than one second after saying, HI I’M LEAH to Molly, I told her that Tami Taylor was a few feet away and that she’d have to excuse my behavior. Luckily, Tracy and Molly were MID watching Friday Night Lights so we immediately bonded over our love and spent the next lump of time all geeking out together.
Anyway, I digress. It was a moment, though. Tracy and Molly are my kind of couple. I don’t think that I stopped laughing the entire time we were together. Everything was so laid back, so easy, so..natural. They had traveled in from LA to take the photographs so we decided to stick around the gorgeous Hotel Saint Cecilia and nearby area for their session. Can not wait to see them again for their October wedding!
