Hands down, my favorite perk of this job is being able to trick our lovely clients into befriending us. It makes sense. We spend months getting to know them during their wedding planning. We witness some of their most emotional moments on their wedding day. We love being part of it all and keeping in touch. Eva & Philip are no exception. We photographed their Houston wedding in 2011, went to their baby shower late last year, and last month we traveled to New York to photograph their first baby, Pazel.
One of my favorite people in the universe, Cara, gave birth to my new favorite baby in the world, Whitt, two weeks ago. I’m so excited for their growing family and being able to be there all along the way and document it from time to time. I’ve been thinking about their first photos as a family of four when I remembered.. I forgot to share their last session as a family of three! Matt, Cara, and Posey are one of my favorite families ever and I think it’s easy to see why.
I walked up to Kristin, Matt, and Max’s house on a cloudy and sprinkling day that kept us inside for all but 2 seconds of our portrait session. Luckily, these three live in an absolutely beautiful space and we spent our time huddling together and cuddling. I mean, I wasn’t cuddling.. I was taking pictures of it.. but still. Love this family.
As the year winds down, we like to reflect over our last 12 months that were filled with awesome clients and friends. We’re going to take the next two weeks to recap some of our favorite moments and to just send off 2012 in a big way and get ready for 2013!
We want to start with families. When people ask what we do, we automatically answer that we are wedding photographers. But really, we’ll photograph anybody that’s happy, in love, and wanting to share. We love when our wedding clients reconnect when they are expecting a little one but we also love to meet new families at any stage, to photograph them in their environment and celebrate what makes them unique. Doesn’t matter if it’s a maternity portrait, newborn session, family photographs, or just an in love pair.. we love you all!
