I met Jennifer and Nowlin on the day of our engagements and within 2 minutes was laughing constantly and feeling like I had known them for much longer. We spent a gorgeous afternoon getting to know each other and taking pictures. This couple’s awesome personalities are infectious to be around and I was counting my lucky stars that they chose me to be their wedding photographer. I’m definitely planning on forcing these two to be friends with me.
Sam, Craig, and I met in Old Town Spring on Christmas Eve for their engagement session. Since we’re based out of Austin, and these two cuties are getting married in Houston later this month, it was our first time meeting face to face. Sam & Craig were incredibly fun to spend the afternoon with. I think you can tell by their pictures that they didn’t stop teasing each other and laughing the entire session. It was an afternoon full of belly laughs and smiles and I couldn’t get enough of it. I love their big personalities, their quirky sense of humor, and how easy it was for them to relax with each other in front of the camera.
Engagement sessions are usually only the first or second times we get to meet with our couples face to face. We spend a few hours walking around, taking pictures, and getting to know each other so by the time the wedding comes around we feel like old friends. We love seeing the different dynamics between our couples and their personalities and being able to photograph what makes them them. One of the best perks of our job is having such lovely people share these exciting and happy times in their lives with us. It makes all of our hard work worth it – more than we could ever put into words.
