Lacy and Colby are cool. Like, you want to be them when you meet them. As soon as I pulled up to their house that they had painted, decorated, and made in to a place that represented the two of them.. I was in photography heaven. Every corner of their home was interesting and cozy and full of things that were personal to them. I left feeling inspired and so excited to capture their wedding day!

Britanny and John wanted to start their engagements off with their…chickens?! Yes, that was a first for me. Turns out, I’m afraid of chickens. Also turns out, Brittany and John are awesome gardeners and people in general and it was a joy to photograph them in preparation for their wedding.
Kimberly is fun to be around, so easy to joke with, and constantly makes me laugh. Lucky for me, she was one of my closest friends in middle school and made those sometimes awkward years a little bit more enjoyable. We drifted in our later years and reunited at her engagements after maybe 8 years of not seeing each other? Doesn’t even seem possible with how easy it was to pick back up. One thing that my job does is allow me to become friends, real friends, with my clients. I’m so happy that in this case, it brought an old friend back to me. And I’m extra happy because as soon as I met Kimberly’s fiance, Clark, I immediately felt like I won the friend jackpot. I absolutely can’t wait to celebrate them at their January wedding and maybe, just maybe, do some wobbling on the dance floor.
Chris and Shannon started their engagement session at Perla’s on South Congress, the setting of their official first date. They toasted over oysters and from there, we were golden. I’m so excited to be traveling to Big Bend this weekend to capture their wedding. They are such a fun couple to be around; so passionate about each other and life that it is contagious!
