Rachel and Wayne flew in from Ontario so that I could capture their elopement at the beautiful Le San Michele. Um, can we talk about how flattered I was? Let me sum it up by saying: hugely. Not only was it intimate and beautiful and so special to be a part of, but they hired Taylor, my husband, to officiate. Taylor is a newly ordained officiant and this elopement was his first soiree in to the field which was pretty wonderful for me to see. He also sang the bride down the aisle so.. that’s a pretty big deal. This day was wonderful.

Rachel and Bryce drove in from Houston to flirt, cuddle, and giggle in front of my camera for their anniversary session. It was such a nice experience to see two people who are so comfortable with each other and so in love and so willing to share it. The last image is my absolute favorite of the bunch.
Happy Friday! This weekend, I will be celebrating and photographing two lovely couples on their wedding days. I’m excited and I’ve been feeling even more inspired than usual lately. Like, bursting at the seams. It’s a good way to feel.
But before I start taking new photographs, allow me to showcase a session from the archives. Lovely Rachel’s bridals! We met up at her venue, The Belgium House, and spent the morning getting shots in her gorgeous dress. I mean, really, doesn’t Rachel look so elegant? Enjoy!
Happy 2011! I can’t believe how fast 2010 flew by and how excited I am to see what 2011 brings us. A huge thank you to all of our clients from the past year and everyone that has trusted in us to capture their special moments. I can’t wait to keep growing, sharing, and loving!
I’m going to kick this year off with a wedding I’m excited to show! Rachel and Nick got married at the Belgium House in Longview, TX this past summer. The day was a fast, happy blur and before I knew it- the happy couple was running through bubbles to their exit.
This was my second year taking pictures of Rachel and Griffin and I was really excited for Rachel’s vision. Golden light.. a field… balloons. It’s all been done before but I still get excited by sun rays and grass up to the knees. We were pleasantly surprised by another photographer taking engagement photos close by that suggested swapping our balloons for their chair. Yes, I would call this photo session a success story.
