Whitney and Justin are the kind of couple that you want to photograph every day. And by that, I mean that I want to photograph them every day. They were so warm and happy and loving and funny and awesome on their wedding day that the whole thing flashed by and I wasn’t ready for it to be over. The wedding was held at the Austin Seminary where Whitney had just graduated from. The chapel was absolutely gorgeous and all of the decorations that Whitney had made for the reception added such a personal and sweet touch. My absolute favorite part of the day was when the chapel doors opened during the ceremony to show Whitney at the end of the aisle at the exact right moment during a Sigur Ros song. Everything built, the anticipation on Justin’s face and the music and then suddenly, there she was.. and it was beautiful.
Whitney and Justin are so freaking cute, it makes me hurt. For their engagements, Whitney wanted to take them at the library on her campus. When I was literally pulling up around the corner, she called me and sounded like something terrible had happened. I was instantly concerned and fearing awful things, when two seconds later she told me that the library closed early. Phew! With no real plan for the first half of our session, we hit up a close-by parking garage and then spent some time canoodling at Spider House.
About halfway through our session, we headed to the awesome set-up that Lindy Floral had created. Color me blown away! As soon as I saw the green trees mixed with the colorful red and pink flowers and streamers, I was overwhelmed with inspiration. And then Justin and Whitney took their cutie selves in front of the wonderful decorations and my mind was blown.
This was definitely the kind of session where, if the sun hadn’t set, I could have kept taking pictures forever. I was so in love with our surroundings, the way Justin and Whitney were interacting with each other, everything. I can not wait for their wedding next month where I’m sure my mind will explode some more.
